Welwaze Medical is thrilled to be among the 52 honorees receiving the Key to Miami-Dade County during the 2018 Miami-Dade Beacon Council Annual Meeting & Key Ceremony.
This year’s theme; Miami SynchroniCity, underscores the unique way that Miami’s many businesses align to foster the growth of its dynamic global business community, a celebration that makes Miami-Dade a world-class 21st century community. Receiving the Key is an honor and reinforces our commitment to Miami-Dade County, where a vibrant and diverse global business community is thriving. The event took place at the InterContinental Hotel in Downtown Miami where over 400 distinguished guests including business and community leaders gathered. Chair Penny Shaffer, South Florida Market President of Florida Blue, spoke of “one community, one growth”. Healthtech industries were highlighted for their significant investments in revolutionizing healthcare. Alex J. Ness, Founder and Executive Chairman together with Carlos García, CEO represented Welwaze at this event. “Having lived in Miami for the last 19 years, I have seen the resilience Miami has shown over the years and looked at what an amazing international ecosystem of human capital, education, and technology it has become. I felt that the grass is always greener here and to me, this is a small way to give back to the city and our community”, said Alex. “Our product will not only contribute to the economic growth of the region but will also help to save lives. Miami is powered by global connectivity and thriving industries. The 2 business advantages are many, especially in the healthcare and technology industry which makes it ideal for Welwaze. We are very thankful for the support, assistance, and belief that the Beacon-Council has on Welwaze”, added Carlos
